The GoldenEye 007 cheat codes below are mapped to the default button layouts for the Nintendo Switch Online version released in 2023 if you use the Pro Controller or JoyCons. This page also contains a list of unlockables for the Switch version of GoldenEye.

If you are using the N64 Classic controller, use the cheat codes on the N64 Cheats page.

The Cheat Menu is found in your mission dossier folder as soon as you have unlocked a cheat the "old-fashioned" way by beating a level on the target difficulty and time specified in the GoldenEye Cheat Unlocks table.

Please note that these cheats are a bit complicated to activate. The button press codes below must be entered on the cheat menu using controller 1. If entered correctly, you will hear a beep. Then, exit the cheat menu than return to the cheat menu to activate the code.

In many cases, you have to press multiple buttons at once -- but you don't have to time it. The L and R buttons act as shift keys. For example, you can just hold R and hit the required button while holding it. The right analog stick makes some of the codes a little harder to enter on Switch than on the N64 controller's C-Buttons. If you have trouble with the right analog stick, an alternative is to hold down ZR (see the controls above) and use the buttons instead of the analog stick for the C-Buttons. Don't give up, these codes have all been tested and work.

Enter these cheat codes on controller 1 during gameplay at any time in singeplayer mode. If you managed to enter the code correctly, text will display at the bottom of the screen confirming the code you activated.

Navigate to the level select screen (Missions) and enter the following codes to instantly unlock the level. Note the special bonus Aztec level can only be unlocked if you've unlocked Cradle already (or use the Cradle code to unlock it first).

Select Multiplayer from the main menu you can enter these codes at any point, even during gameplay. It's easiest to enter them from the Multiplayer or Characters menu. Enter the following codes to unlock characters and modes.

Note: To get even more people in multiplayer mode like the game designers, bike rider, and the terrorist, enter the code below. You can do this code anywhere, but it's best to do it on the Multi-Player Character Select screen while looking at the last available character (Mishkin or Moonraker Elite.)

As an alternative to the button input codes, GoldenEye 007 features a number of unlockable cheats that make the game more fun, from paintball mode to turbo, invisibility, and more. To unlock these cheats, you have to beat specific levels under a specific time limit.

When you complete one of these challenges for the first time, the Cheats Menu gets added to your main dossier. From there, you can activate and deactivate codes (activated cheats prevent mission unlocks). You can also use cheat codes to unlock new cheat options. Refer to the Switch Cheat Codes and N64 Cheats pages for the full list.

The easiest challenge to complete is Level 3: Runway, which unlocks DK Mode (big head mode). The mission can be completed in just about a minute's time, on Agent difficulty.

Here is the entire list of GoldenEye 007 cheat unlocks:

For bonus weapons, complete any of the levels below.

Beat the game on agent mode and a total of 33 characters become available in multiplayer mode. Here are the new ones:

Note you can also unlock these by entering the Multiplayer Characters cheat code.
